Hive Wind Energy S.L. is a company established with capital from Sener Renewable Investments, a company of the Sener engineering and technology group, and the Amper group, through its subsidiary Nervión Naval-Offshore. This collaboration agreement has the goal of developing and commercializing a floating offshore wind technology for turbines with power ratings above 15MW.
Founded in 1956, Sener Engineering ranks as the largest privately-owned engineering company in Spain with a dedicated team for Offshore Wind technology.
Sener has performed full due diligence on several conceptual floating offshore wind foundations in recent years.
Sener has a core group of over 50 naval architects and ship designers.
Sener brings a multidisciplinary approach team of 2700 people capable of doing several basic designs of the concept in parallel, and of providing PMT/CMT services during construction phases.
Grupo Amper has 60 years of experience in ship assembly and maintenance, and has been involved in the fabrication of the foundations of several OWFs.
